Overview

Holdspace ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

Our Privacy Principle

Holdspace is built on a simple principle: your data belongs to you. Your saved records are kept on your device. Holdspace does not upload your saved library to our servers. Link previews can contact the websites you save, as described below.

Information We Store Locally

Saved Items: The items you save (titles, notes, URLs, moods) are stored locally on your device using SwiftData.

App Preferences: Your settings (theme preference, Face ID setting) are stored locally using standard iOS storage.

What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect personal information
  • We do not track your usage or behavior
  • We do not use analytics services
  • We do not sell or upload your saved library to third parties
  • We do not sync your data to any cloud service

Data Export

Holdspace provides a data export feature that allows you to export all your saved items as a JSON file. This export stays on your device until you choose to share it.

Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data. You can delete individual items within the app, or delete all data by uninstalling the application. Since we store nothing externally, uninstalling removes local app records. Copies you exported or kept in operating-system backups may remain and must be managed separately.

Link Previews and Third-Party Services

When a saved URL is enriched with a preview, Apple LinkPresentation can request information and images from that website. In the updated app, you can disable link previews in Settings; saved records and core queue actions still work offline. This setting requires the updated app release. The website may receive the requested URL and technical connection information, including your IP address, under its own privacy policy. This is separate from the local saved library. Holdspace does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use crash reporting services that collect personal data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
